Happy 2nd Birthday Vaughn!

We celebrated Vaughns 2nd Birthday today! His actual Birthday is tomorrow but its also a holiday and kind of a busy day so we celebrated today! We had a Car's theme going cause Vaughn LOVE'S Car's!! So I, with a lot of coaching and helping of my mother, made Vaughn this awesome cake! Thats right, I made it!! Well we bought the cake pan from JoAnn's but still all the frosting that makes it looks soo wonderful was done by yours truely! Not to shabby, eh?

We had Vaughns Aunts and Uncles and Grandma's and Grandpa's over to help celebrate this exciting event! We started by have a BBQ. Yummy!!

Here's some fun candid pictures of who was there at the party. Thanks to Bran.
First me and Vaughn, not too bad:

Aunt Sara and Uncle David, who know's what their doing. What's wrong with your lips David?

Then Aunt Jayna, Uncle Alan, Grandma Brooks and Grandpa Brooks, they look pretty prepared for Brandon's picture taking.

Grandma Aaberg and Tai smilin' on the chair pretty unaware of a picture being taken.

Uncle Jordan, Aunt Kim and Baby Cousin "Jim". Lucky this is a pretty good picture of them.

AND finally Grandpa Aaberg:

This is Vaughn trying to blow up a balloon but not doing a very good job at it. Oh well it kept him busy for a min while we waited to open presents!

MAN look at all these presents. Vaughn is one SPOILED BOY!
Vaughn's first present was clothes. He didn't care too much for them so he just skipped that bag and went to then next.

Aunt Jayna and Uncle Alan gave Vaughn this really cool marker set that only writes on this special paper! That will be nice!

And they gave him more clothes. He pulled them out and said "cute" then put them back. He's such a silly kid.

Then he pulled the card off of Grandma and Grandpa Brooks present and tried to read it himself. It was so cute.

Then he tore into their present:

Thomas the Train!!

Dad and Tai helped him set it up and play with it.

Then he opened Grandma and Grandpa Aabergs gift. He was so excited it was wrapped in "man" paper!

A golf set!! It is so cute you can push the little galf cart around.

Then Uncle David and Aunt Sara spoiled Vaughn and got him a....

"Man hat"...

AND a scooter!! Yep and he does have the "hat" on backwards.

He kept just standing on the scooter hoping it would move or that someone would push him.

So the grandma's felt bad he was just standing on it so they both tried to show him how to put a foot down on the ground and push himself. That was pretty funny to watch!

Grandma Aabergs try:

Grandma Brooks' try:

No use. I think he just wants someone else to do all the work and push him around.

Then Brandon and I got him a BIKE! With a bell that took him atleast 10 mins. and 13 people later to learn how to use it!

Then Uncle Jordan and Aunt Kim gave him the cutest outfit! But again Vaughn wasn't too interested. Sorry guys. But I loved all the cute outfits and I'm glad he got so many. That kid gets dirty so fast you need a few outfits a day!!

Then it was time for cake and ice cream. So we sang as I brought out the cake. We had 2 candles on the cake for him. I didn't think he would know what to do but as soon as he saw the flames on the candle he blew them out!

Then for the sad part. I had to cut up the cake I worked so hard on. Well atleast it tasted good!

Happy Birthday Vaughn!! Your the cutest little guy EVER! Mom and Dad LOVE you TONS!!

Washington-Oregon Road Trip!

Me and 3 of my bestest friends took a raod trip up through Washington then back down through Oregon! First we stopped at a great look out point and took this beautiful picture! This is Karen and Dani smiling big for us! Then it was on to Seattle! After checking in to the hotel we walked over to the space needle. We all had to ride up to the top. Very terrifying since I'm extremely afraid of elevators. So after I ran off the elevator at the top I had a pretty good time!

Jen, Karen and Dani posing for the picture at the top!

Me checking out the view.

We had lots of fun looking at all of Seattle from up there. Then it was time to go back down. SCARRY!! But we made it safely, mostly, Dani's arm lost a little bit of circulation and feeling but thats ok.
Then we walked back to the hotel to get the car and we were off to look for the Troll under the bridge. This was quite the adventure we drove back and forth across the brige a few times before we found him. And here he is:

Here's me and Karen. Incase you can't see Karen is picking the Troll's nose. hehe.. We think were funny!

After we got done there we were all STARVING, so we tried to find some where to eat. Another big adventure. So we all just decided to go back to the hotel and eat at their resturant. YUMMY! Good choice. The next morning we fun. Scene set up: so me and Bran are all packed up so I couldn't find any bags or suitcases to pack with so I asked my dad. My dad gave me the BIGGEST duffel bag in the world to take. So then of course I had all this space so I had to bring my whole house with me. So anyways we left our room and was headed for the elevator. Im dragging my bag cause its soo heavy. We finally get to the elevator and theres a few guys on there all ready waiting for us. One of the guys was like "WHOA what a bag, what do you have in there a body?! " He says this as he grabs my bag and takes it on the elevator. So we joke about it all the way down. Then he carries my bag off the elevator and over to the front desk so we can check out. As we are headed back to the elevator to go down to the parking garage the same guy walks by and says "Oh no not you again." Then he grabs my bag out of my hands and carries it back over to the elevator. He was so funny! I wanted to ask him what he was doing for the next few days and if he wanted for carry my bag around for me. He was funny.
After we finally made it to the car we were off to the fish market they have there in Seattle. Jen was saying there famous for having a group of fishermen that throw the fish around and sing. So we had to go check it out.

Here's some fishermen but they weren't the ones who sang. But we did find them later. But I didn't get a picture of them. Sorry.

They had tons of beautiful floweres there at the market. I think mostley cause it was Mothers Day. So Jen and Karen bought themselves some Happy Mothers Day flowers and were kind enough to get some for me and Dani also. Thanks guys!! Your the best!

Here's my pretty flowers. I had to take a picture cause I wasn't sure if they would make it through a road trip alive. (which they didn't :( )

Here's Jens pretty flowers she bought herself. They mostley made it through the trip.

And here's Karen with her flowers. PRETTY!!

Then we were on the road again after that. We were headed to our next destination. We went to a little cabin hotel. Here's the view there:

Then the next morning we were off on our next adventure! For all you Twilight fans your going to LOVE this!! For all you not so Twilight fans your going to think were dorky, like my husband does. Oh we'll we had fun anywho. So our next stop was FORK, Washington. And just like in the story it rained and was over cast the WHOLE time. It was kind of cool they actually have a Twilight tour you can take of their town! So we went around and saw all the palces!!

This is and actual sign they have posted right inside the city:

Here's the High School:

Bella's truck:

Bella's house:

The hospital where Dr Cullen works. This his his reserved spot there:

City Hall and the Police station where Charly works. The lady said if you walk in and yell out Charly all the officers will respond to it.. We felt too dorky to go try it out so we didn't.

This is where the Cullens live. Its actually a Bed and Breakfast.

The owners are fun and they have a whiteboard where they post messages from Esme on them.

Then we headed off to La Push.

Here's the Beach in La Push:

It was WAY cold and rainy. So not like regular sunny beaches.

After our Twilight tour we headed for Astoria, Oregon. We spent the night there. After we got in the hot tub to warm back up! From there we went and checked out the lighthouses around there.

This is some pictures of a Fort they have built there on the Washington side of the river. I'm not too good at remembering names of things, sorry.

More Lighthouses:

Then we headed down into Portland to spend the night. Then for our finally day the long day of driving back to Utah. Darn.. But first we stopped off at Multnomah Falls. It was beautiful!!

Then off to home. It was a GREAT trip with the girls. We had tons of fun and lots to talk about. So the driving parts usually went pretty fast. Thanks especially for Jen and Karen who planned the whole trip. And for me and Dani for coming along and making it super fun!!
