We surprised my mom with a "Sweet Sixtee" Party. It took me, my brother and dad 3 weeks to plan. We did have a little help from Sara all the way up in Oregon as well. And we must have been really sneaky cause we sure had her surprised!! We had the party at the church, so we got the Relief Society president invovled to get my mother over to the church so she wouldn't suspect anything. She Walked into a room full of people yelling surprise and then singing her happy birthday. I think she really enjoyed the party! Way to go us!

We has cupcakes and ice cream for the dessert. We also had little bowls of candy set out on all the tables. Cause my mom ALWAYS has bowls of candy set out on her counter.

We set up a little brag table that had all her grandkids on it as well as a scrapebook she had done of her years of teaching:

We had a really good turn out to the party! And me and Jordan didn't do too bad for our first major event. We only really messed up twice, good thing we have wonderful aunts, But 1st I forgot to invite my Grandparents, my mom's mom and dad..Ooops. On my behalf tho I kept thinking when can I get up there and give it to them so my mom doesn't know about it. And be fore I knew it it was 4 days before the party and my Aunt Laura was asking if we had invited them.. uh..no..ooops...But she told them about it and they were there..whew.. Second thing was we had planned to have water at the party for drinking. Well we got it all set up and neither of us and brought cups for the water.. good thing Aunt Kelley lives close and had a lot of cups on hand! I must also say thanks to all our cupcake makers! We hired on the family to make cupcakes, which helped us out a ton!! But all together it was a successful night!

Robots

Vaughn Loves to make things out of boxes. Last week when I went to pick Vaughn up from school here comes Vaughn and Mrs. Jill with 2 big boxes. He had talked his teacher into letting him take home the boxes so he could make a robot out of them. So last night we built a robot. I think it turned out pretty good! Playing in the snow with the boys!

Well when we finally got some snow Vaughn was super excited to go out and build a snowman. So we bundled up and went out and I made Vaughn a snowman. He got super bored of the process within a few min. But loved insisted that I continued to build the snowman.

He did however like dressing the snow man and putting a face and arms on him. So he did help a little bit.

Happy New Year!!

We went over to our friend Tess and Kirby's house for New years. We always have a ton of fun over there. First there are alot of other kids so Vaughn and Marshall stay entertained, Second we get to hang out with the adults and play fun games. This year we played minuet to win it. We had a ton of fun playing this! Here are a few pictures of us playing the game:

Christmas!

We has a wonderful Christmas this year!! It was a little crazy being that it was on Sunday, but we made it thru. First we celebrated Christmas at our house. Vaughn even waited this year for the rest of us before he went down stairs:

Vaughn got the Legos he wanted from Santa so that is what we spent all morning doing, putting the Legos together:

Then that afternoon Brandons family came over to our house for dinner and more gift opening: Vaughn was so excited there were MORE gifts to be opened!

Then we didn't have enough time to fit my family in on Christmas day so then monday morning we went over to my mothers house and had brunch and opened more gifts!! Vaughn again was very excited about this. Here Vaughn is with the activity desk he got that he was kind of disappointed in but now uses it ALL the time!
