Halloween Night!!
Getting ready for Halloween. Vaughn was dressed up like Yoda. We thought it would be cute paint his face green like Yoda. This did not go well. He squirmed the WHOLE time and the paint we got was crappy.. so for a bit he looked like an army guy with camo on his face. I finally got it all blended AND there wasn't much green left on his face.. oh well..
First we RAN down to Lee's Market to do their little trick or treating around the store. That was pretty cute. It took Vaughn a few people to figure out what was going on but then we got it! Then we headed up to Vaughn's Great Grandma and Grandpa's to show them his cute costume!
Here he is "cheesing":
At their door trick or treating:
He went in and showed them his light saber. He had to show them how he fights with it.
Then he died: He's so funny!
Then we went to Grandma and Grandpa Brooks house to show off for them:

Grandpa Aaberg dressed up like Vaughn for Halloween...Vaughn did not like this:
We're ready to really go out trick or treating!!
Vaughn and some kids at a door:
Vaughn (waiting patiently) for someone to answer. He started to get the hang of it, go up to the door, knock, say trick or treat, someone gives you candy, yeah!! He was so cute people would try and put the candy in his bag for him but as they would lean down to do this he would look to see what they were doing and this would move his bag farther away from the candy. They would try again and he would do the same thing.. Finally he just started grabbing the candy out of people's hands and putting in his bag himself.. Some even gave him 'Bonus candy' for being so darned cute!

Pumpkin carving
Last night we finally got around to carving pumpkins. Man, we have been slow on celebrating this year. Thats ok this is how the night went. Brandon cut the tops off the pumpkins but doesn't like to stick his hand into the gooey pumpkin so I got to yank out all the gooey stuff.
Bran is ok with sticking a BIG spnoon, as my son would call it, into the pumpkin to clean it out. Well sort of as you can tell by the picture:
Then Vaughn thought he needed to clean out the pumpkins with the big spnoon.

Finally we get started on our design for our pumpkins. Bran took this very seriously.
So seriously that I had to wait till he was done with his before I even got to start. So I took a cookie break.

5 years!!
Friday Oct. 23rd was me and Brandon's 5 year anniversary!! Man I can't belive its been 5 years!! We had a pretty great anniversary. We went up to Park City for the weekend. We went to dinner and a movie. Then did some shopping. And got A LOT of good sleep that we were needing!! It was great!! Well HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to the best husband a girl could ever wish for! I love you Brandon Brooks!!
In memory of...
We lost 2 really special great people this year. Back in March we lost Bran's cute grandma. Oh how she loved Vaughn so much. She was such a great lady!
Then this last weekend we lost Brandon's Grandpa. I guess he was missing his lovely wife. He was such a great guy with a good sense of humor that will be greatly missed!

Fun with Blocks!
I was entertaining Vaughn during General Conference so that others could listen to the talks and we were playing with blocks. Vaughn wanted me to make a tall guy so he could knock it over, which Brandon usually helps him with as he is better at building things than I am. :-) I ended up experimenting on making a face and made a mommy face and a Vaughn face. Cute huh?
